Facebook announce limits message forwarding to five chats at a time

Facebook has announced an identical initiative that limits the power to forward messages to only five people or groups at a time on Messenger.

“Limiting forwarding is an efficient thanks to slow the spread of viral misinformation and harmful content that has the potential to cause world harm,” Facebook says in a politician blog post.

The social media giant adds that it's imposing a limit on message forwards to foil the efforts of bad actors getting to cause chaos and undermine accurate information. the choice has been taken into insight into the coronavirus pandemic (and the spread of linked conspiracy theories) also because of the upcoming elections within the US, New Zealand, and other countries.

Talking about elections, Facebook has today also announced that it won’t accept new political ads within the week preceding the US elections. Additionally, the corporate also mentioned that it'll remove posts that discourage people from voting by fanning coronavirus fears.
